Strategic Leadership Team

The strategic leadership team team of Curry Health Network has the duty to assure the quality of patient care and solvency of the business of the Network. The group functions as the executive team, helping to set the strategic plan of the organization while overseeing daily operations. The future of health care in Curry County and the communities themselves are dependent upon this team to forge a new, healthy direction for Curry Health Network.

Chief Executive Officer

Virginia A. Williams

Virginia (Ginny) Williams is Chief Executive Officer of Curry Health Network. Prior to joining CHN in May 2015, she served as Interim CEO of Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee, California - one of the most prestigious critical access hospital systems in the United States with a $188 Million dollar annual gross revenue. She earlier served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Ancillary Services at the same organization.

Williams holds a Doctor of Science (DSc) in Healthcare Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Ala., and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. She completed a fellowship program for next generation healthcare CEOs at California Healthcare Leadership College.

Chief Medical Officer

Richard (Rik) Battey, MD

In addition to providing compassionate and quality care to his patients, Dr. Battey assumed the role of Chief Medical Officer at Curry Health Network in July 2020. He is responsible for managing departmental budgets in collaboration with Practice Managers, helps to recruit Providers to CHN, and ensures that staff adhere to safety standards while delivering the highest quality of medical care.

Dr. Battey enjoys acting as mentor to physicians and medical staff, finding ways to improve clinical services, and acts as liaison between administration and medical staff.

Chief Financial Officer

Richard (Rick) Sicora, CHFP

Richard (Rick) Sicora, CHFP joined Curry Health Network in November 2022 as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With more than 35 years' finance experience with 20+ years in healthcare, including 12 years with Critical Access Hospitals, he moved to Gold Beach from southeastern Nebraska where he served as CFO at Community Medical Center in Falls City.
Sicora is originally from Minnesota where he gained experience working in both large healthcare systems and independent physician groups. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Northwestern College in Roseville, MN, now known as University of Northwestern St. Paul.

Chief Information Officer

Kristina Martin, PMP

Kristina Martin serves at Chief Information Officer of Curry Health Network, having joined the team in 2015. She brings more than 25 years' experience in Health Information Technology, providing strategic business leadership and aligning IT objectives and programs to the strategic priorities while addressing complex technical demands and ensuring that the organization's IT systems meet all legal and regulatory requirements.

Martin is certified as a Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute and holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

Chief Human Resource Officer

Lauren Morrow, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Lauren Morrow joined Curry Health Network in October 2015. Throughout her tenure, she has held various leadership roles and became a member of the Human Resources team in 2020. Most recently, she has served as the HR Manager and administrator for CHN's HR system.

Morrow holds a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master's degree in Healthcare Administration from National University. She is certified as a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management and as a Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute. In 2021, she completed training and received certification in workplace investigations from the Association of Workplace Investigations.

Chief Operating & Nursing Officer

Isaac Hodges

Isaac Hodges, BSN, RN is a life-long resident of Curry County who joined CHN in July 2009. Since joining the Network, Isaac has advanced in leadership as Patient Care Services Director over the emergency and cardiopulmonary services departments, Director of Outpatient Ancillary Services, Senior Nursing Officer, and Chief Experience Officer. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer (COO/CNO).

Hodges utilizes tools gained from his experience as an acute care nurse, emergency department nurse, and 12 years as a private business owner in the health care industry. Educated in leadership and nursing, Hodges remains focused on gaining Network excellence through effective team building, staff engagement, community feedback, and clinical knowledge.

He earned his Associate Oregon Transfer degree in 2005, an ADN in 2009, his BSN from Oregon Health & Science University in 2015, and a master's in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University in 2024.

Facilities Director

Rebecca Vance, CHFM

Rebecca (Bec) Vance accepted the Director of Facilities and Safety Officer position effective June 23, 2024. Ms. Vance previously served as CHN’s Facilities Manager since 2019.

She has earned the CHFM designation from the American Hospital Association Certification as a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager. Ms. Vance has received extensive training and education, and/or also holds certifications by the American Society of Sanitary Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Her education is ongoing.

Director of Quality

Sunnie Spansail, BSN, RN, CPHQ

Sunnie is a proud native Oregonian and brings a deep commitment to healthcare excellence as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). With over 12 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, Sunnie has consistently demonstrated her belief that every patient deserves the highest standard of care, and she works tirelessly to ensure healthcare systems operate at their best. Sunnie's work is rooted in the core value of fidelity-dedication to reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring Oregon's stunning landscapes, raising her young family, and continuously advancing her knowledge in healthcare quality.

Spansail earned an Associates degree in Nursing from Alfred State College, followed by a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Oregon Health & Science University.
