Taya Torres Named CHN's June 2025 Service Excellence Superstar

Taya was nominated by her colleague Reannon Ivie for stepping up without hesitation to assist a patient who had been waiting for an EKG. The respiratory therapist was tied up with a code in the Emergency Department when registration asked if anyone was available to help. Taya immediately answered the call, performing the test with her usual professionalism and a positive attitude.
Her actions reflect the very best of CHN’s shared values—especially integrity and teamwork. By putting the patient first and supporting her colleagues in a moment of high demand, Taya showed the kind of dedication that makes a lasting impact. She didn’t wait to be asked twice, and she didn’t do it for recognition—she simply saw a need and took action.
