Beth Beasley Named CHN's December 2025 Service Excellence Superstar

Beth Beasley, Credentialing Specialist, has been named CHN'S Service Excellence Superstar for December 2025!

When a 12-year-old patient with a fractured collarbone needed to see orthopedic surgeon Dr. Hines as soon as possible, it initially looked like the visit could not happen. The child was covered by DMAP, a health plan, and Dr. Hines had not yet been approved through DMAP’s provider enrollment process. Without that approval, the family would have needed to seek care elsewhere.

When Beth learned of the situation, she immediately stepped in. She contacted her counterpart at DMAP and requested expedited approval so the child could be seen that same day. Anticipating that pain medication might also be needed, she asked DMAP to authorize any necessary prescriptions as well.

Her determination made all the difference. DMAP granted same-day approval, allowing the child to be seen by Dr. Hines at 4:00 p.m. Beth quickly passed the authorization to Shannon Hopkins, Director of Specialty Care, who described Beth as a “miracle worker” for securing approval so quickly.

The impact went beyond this single visit. Thanks to the approval she obtained, two additional pediatric patients with DMAP coverage were also able to be scheduled with Dr. Hines.

Beth’s supervisor and nominator, Doreen Nielson, shared this praise: “Beth consistently goes the extra mile. She cares deeply about our patients and our providers, and she steps in immediately when there’s a barrier. What she did here is exactly who she is every day.”
