Belinda Conne, Dietary Aide in the Curry Cafe, was selected as CHN’s Service Excellence Superstar from among other nominees by a committee of her peers.Belinda was nominated by Valerie Tribble, ED PCT, who recognized her for going above and beyond during a particularly difficult day in the Emergency Department. Following a serious accident, the ED was extremely busy, and several patients remained at the hospital for hours while waiting for family members. Belinda used her own money to provide a large tray of snacks and drinks for the patients and also made sure staff had something to eat.
Tribble noted that this was not the first time Belinda had stepped in to help and also expressed appreciation for the entire Dietary team, recognizing the care and kindness they regularly extend throughout the hospital.
Belinda’s thoughtfulness and willingness to help wherever needed are a meaningful example of service excellence. Congratulations to Belinda and thank you to the entire Dietary team for the many ways they support patients, families and staff each day.
